Been busy

It has been a while since I have written anything. Thought I should get back to it. I have still been training and being a mom. Trying to get through these teenage years that are killing me. That, training and working a full time job seems to keep me busy and constantly juggling things. My husband just ran IMFL with some of our friends and his team.  I have to say this experience has put yet another outlook on triathlons and some triathletes. At mile 10 of the bike someone ran into him on the course by cutting him off. They were drafting... long story short - this is one of the major reasons I am against drafting. Not to mention it is illegal in triathlon races. Why is it there is never an official around when there are 15 or more people drafting. I do not care how slow I am I am not going to put myself or my bike in danger nor do I need to risk a 4 minute penalty. What really blows my mind is that this is an individual sport so you are suppose to do the same work that everyone else is doing on your own with no help. I am just sick to my stomach when I think about it. With that said I also want to eventually do a sanctioned IM event. Just not sure which one or when. I only want to do one to say I have other than that I am not sure I will continue to do them. I like the HITS series and the BTB and may just stick with them. The races are a bit expensive to begin with. So if you are gonna spend that much money you should be happy with them.

When we got back from Panama City I started to look at my training a bit different. Not sure why but I have. It seems to be working for me too. I did two one hour swims and felt great. I went out on the bike today not wanting to go out (because I thought it was going to be tough) and came back sooner than what was on the schedule but was ok with that. I have not been on my bike for that long in a while due to the trip and stuff. I have started riding during the week on the trainer but on my bike now and that may have helped.

Trying to make things easier and be more positive.
